How to manage your customer messages
Use Messages in your vendor dashboard to read conversations and follow up on customer questions. Available recipients and actions depend on your account and the conversations you can access.
1. Open your conversations
- Sign in with your vendor account and open Messages in the vendor dashboard.
- Check Active for ongoing conversations. Use Closed to find discussions you have marked as finished.
- Select a conversation and read the earlier messages before replying.
Open Messages in your vendor dashboard (vendor sign-in required).
2. Reply to a message
- Where a reply box is available, write a clear response to the customer's question.
- Review the conversation and your reply, then choose Send.
- Check that your reply appears in the conversation. If you cannot confirm it was saved, recheck the thread before sending it again.
Keep messages relevant to the question or order. Do not include passwords or payment-card details. A reply appearing in the thread does not confirm that the customer has read it.
3. Start a new conversation
- Choose Compose or Compose message.
- Select the intended recipient from the To list. Contact a customer only when that customer is available in the list.
- Enter a useful Subject and your message. Check the recipient and wording, then choose Send.
- Check Messages for the conversation and return there to look for replies.
If the recipient or action you need is missing, ask your store owner or the marketplace team to check your access.
4. Keep finished conversations organized
When a discussion is finished, choose Mark as Closed where available. You can find it again in Closed. A new message brings the conversation back to Active.
Closing a conversation organizes your inbox; it does not change an order status or resolve a payment or refund.
